29th Annual Stroke Play Championship

On Friday 19th October, four of Carnarvons Members competed in the 29th Annual Masters Pennant Stroke Play Championship at Twin Creeks Golf Club. The Four Members to represent Carnarvon were Glenn Osborne, Stephen Bolger, Nick Sagdic & Brad Lincoln. A special thanks to these members who competed and a further congratulations to Glenn Osborne who placed Runner Up in the Scratch Mens Singles.

The Masters Pennant recently published an article on the 29th Annual Stroke Play Championship, which can be found below:

2018 RESULTS & SUMMARY

Firstly, thank you to all who turned out for this fantastic event. We had over 100 starters on the day, and despite some testing weather in the lead-up the course was in fantastic condition and played a tough, but fair test to all who graced the fairways of the Twin Creeks Golf Club.

We would like to extend our particular thanks for the patience and understanding shown by all competitors as we navigated the course mandated no carts policy given the adverse weather late Thursday afternoon and evening. We are looking at ways to discount clubs and individuals for the unused cart component costs.

To that end, we would also like to take the opportunity to thank the Twin Creeks Golfing & Hospitality staff for having us, and for their continued support of The Masters Pennant year after year.

With over 100 starters across the morning and afternoon waves, the strength of our competition was very much on display. Congratulations to the following winners in each category:

Shane Stanley (Charlestown)
Score: 73 (CB)

Scratch / Individual Runner-Up:
