Creating Canopies at Carnarvon
About this event
Come along for a rewarding day of tree planting, weeding and rubbish removal at Carnarvon Golf Club. The Golf Course will be closed for the day so it is a great opportunity to find out more about Carnarvon Golf course in Lidcombe. It is an important part of the Parramatta River catchment and the work we do on 13 March will benefit this river system. Birding Australia will be conducting a bird survey and will discuss their findings. It will be an interesting day with a varied range of activities.
Green spaces aren't just great for wildlife, they're also associated with better physical health, lower stress levels, and greater community satisfaction. Plus they cool down our city! Now's your chance to get involved with greening your community.
Please wear long sleeves, long pants, closed sturdy shoes, a hat and sunscreen, and bring at least 2 litres of drinking water.
On-site training, tools, and lunch will be provided.
RSVPS are essential, to avoid disappointment please register ASAP via the Eventbrite page.
