Golf Australia Changes to Handicap System & how it affects our Men's Championship schedule

Dear Members,

Australia is making a major change to their handicap management system which will affect our golf operations over the coming month. Golf Australia is to retire the current GOLF LINK system and to replace it with a new and improved system called Golf CONNECT. The new system will have improved functionality which should benefit us all.

The change in system will mean that we will no longer access our current GA Handicap through the www.golf.org.au website or the current Golf Australia app. These will be replaced by a new GOLF.com.au website and a new Golf Australia App.

Golf Australia advise that the new app will retain the existing handicap lookup feature and will also introduce a range of new and useful tools.

The old system will go offline at the end of day on Sunday 28^th September and the new system is planned to be up and running for our club by Friday 10^th October. During this time there will be no uploading of competition scores and there will be no change in handicaps. All handicaps will be locked at what they were on September 28^th. We will continue to run competitions during the offline period. There will be a book in the Pro Shop which will show your handicap that was locked at 28^th September.

Due to this offline period occurring when the 2^nd round of the Men’s Championships was due to be played, has meant that coming Men’s Championship schedule will be altered as follows:

• Round 1 is on Saturday 27th September - this is unchanged. This round will also be the August medal round which had to be postponed due to the continual rain events in August.

• Round 2 is on Saturday 11th October - this have been moved back from 4th October.

• Round 3 is on Saturday 18th October - this round will also be the October medal round.

• Round 4 is on Saturday 25th October

The Ladies’ Championship dates are unaltered as they occur after the new system should be in place.

To access the new system members will need to complete an account verification process for the new Golf Australia website,GOLF.com.au and will need to download the new Golf Australia App. We will provide instructions on how to access GOLF.com.au and instructions on the new App when we know these features are accessible.

We will advise you if there is any change to the Golf Australia plan for this process that will affect the above plans.

여자 챔피언십 일정은새로운 시스템이 도입된이후에 진행되기 때문에변경 사항이 없습니다.
