Latest Update
The Prime Minister just announced new measures to control
transmission of COVID-19 and these have a direct effect on clubs.
The new measures include a ban on all indoor, non-essential
gatherings of more than 100 persons. There will also be a ban on non-essential
outdoor gatherings of more than 500 persons.
The Prime Minister announced that these measures commence immediately.
Hygiene
Everyone
should follow good hygiene practice and encourage others to do the same. Please
follow these procedures for everyone’s safety:
·
Before entering Carnarvon Golf Club, clean your hands with an
alcohol-based hand
sanitizer or wash them with soap
and water.
·
Do this every time you go to the bathroom and every time before you eat.
·
Maintain at least a 1.5 metre distance between yourself and anyone who
is coughing or sneezing.
·
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
·
Avoid shaking hands, hugging, kissing or touching other people.
·
Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough
or sneeze and dispose of used tissues immediately.
· Use paper towel to turn off taps and touch handles and doorknobs in all public places.
Our club considers it
important that we all take sensible steps to look after ourselves, our families
and each other. We want to protect our members, staff and the public by
minimising exposure to COVID-19 and reducing the risk of spreading it, as much
as we can.
HOW WILL WE DO THIS?
1. We will follow all
advice from government health and medical authorities.
2. We will introduce strategies at the club about exclusion and hygiene
procedures.
3. We will keep you informed of what’s happening at the club.
4. We will require all members, public and staff to follow the below
instructions
EXCLUSION
Our club may, at its
discretion, direct those affected or reasonably at risk of being affected by
the pandemic to remain away from the premises.
The following people should
not enter:
·
Anyone who has recently travelled/transited through countries considered
to pose a risk of transmission of COVID-19 should not enter. For an up-to-date
list of countries go to www.health.gov.au
·
Anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 should not enter.
·
Anyone who has been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with
or is suspected of having COVID-19 should not enter.
·
Anyone unwell or who has a cough/cold should not enter unless they have
tested negative to COVID-19.
After 14 days, people in
the above categories can return to Carnarvon Golf Club provided they are
symptom-free.
If you feel unwell, stay
at home, seek medical advice promptly and follow the directions of your local
health authority. If you believe you are at risk of infection, obtain a
diagnosis and, importantly, please inform our club.
